hi i vw just had my first full check up blood feet urine etc.
but got a phone asking to have a review as they said something about kidney result. i only got dinogesed with type 1 in Nov is normal form them to ask to you to do a review. after the tests

Yes if there's something not quite right about any test results Jamie. In future it would be far better to have any tests before you see the nurse for your review - they send me a form in the post for all my annual GP tests, I book the blood taking visit and the nurse one a few days after that, hence if there's anything in the results a bit awry - we can discuss it there and then.

Don't worry at this stage though - it might just be something left over from pre diagnosis that just needs watching a bit more often than once a year. If it was deadly serious you'd have had a call asking you to drop in 'today'.

It's not unusual to see the nurse as a diabetic. And it's better to have the tests done before.

I also make sure I have a form to take away at the current review and then book the test a week or so before my review appointment. I also can now see my results on line so we don't waste time handing over the results - we just discuss any relevant points and anything else.
