I got a copy of the letter from the hospital to my gp and I must say its a good letter and covers everything we spoke about at my appointment.
It says about my great weight loss before diagnosis and about my frustrations about it creeping up, no matter what I do.
My latest HbA1c is not at 55mmol/mol, which is up from 53 at the beginning of February.
It says. "It is not clear why there is a discrepancy between her capillary bg readings and her HbA1c. I would be happy with her care to be guided by the HbA1c results"
The last part is his recommendations about medication, where he mentions possibly going back on to metformin along side the gliclizide and empagliflozin and about upping my gliclizide dose to the maximum of 120mg a day (currently on 60mg) and if this is insufficient to try a GLP1 agonist.
My GP appointment is on Tuesday 30th May, so we shall see what happens.

That's good, that it is thorough, and reflects accurately what you discussed.

He even mentioned in the letter about my partner being with me.

Sounds good Stitch 🙂 I do wonder though if a basal insulin would prove far more effective and less complicated than all these drug combinations 🙄 Hope you can get SOMEWHERE after all this back and forth! 🙂

Glad the letter covers all the points that were discussed at your appt. good luck for your GP appt Hoping the change to meds will help.

Good - let's hope something does some good.

Jealous - best I ever had was 'I met this pleasant lady' lol
