I used to be like you but eventually realised that I was going to drive myself totally mental if I didn't learn to relax a bit, you have to be able to enjoy your life too! Actually I think that's one of the hardest things, trying to find the right balance between micromanaging your D to the extent that you don't enjoy anything, and enjoying life so much that your D-control is too slack!
I'm dealing with a growing child who is also at the beginning of puberty, so it's practically impossible to have perfect numbers all the time, in fact if we get more than a couple of days like that I think we're doing rather well. We're getting too many readings in the teens at the moment, not ideal but I'm working on it; a few weeks ago daughter was hypo several times a day so I reduced all her insulin and am now finding that I'm having to put it all up again, so it goes

We are now at my parents' for a few days though, and daughter is more likely to go low here so no point trying to mess around with basal etc here as she'll go high again when we get home. Sigh. Will have to just try to manage with temp basals for a few days, that failed last night though and I set it too low, can't win sometimes! Your control is bl**dy excellent, try not to stress about it!
