Hi there,

does anyone have a recommendation for Travel insurance if you have Type 1 diabetes?

Thank you.

StaySure and All clear. Not the cheapest but do not seem to have the get outs like some!

For many years we had worldwide travel insurance with our Nationwide FlexPlus account. There was no additional cost associated with Type1 diabetes (we did have to pay a supplement for other conditions we have). But overall the cost for a year’s cover was still less than the likes of Saga and Staysure wanted for one week in Spain!

However, they have recently changed their insurance provider - I don’t know if any changes have been made as we haven’t renewed cover, having decided not to travel abroad any more.
