Went to collect my prescription today
and pharmacist said we dont have your insulin
in I said I didnt know I was on insulin it's victoza
he said yes that's insulin:confused:
coming from a Pharmacist I'm very confused
I thought it stimulated the pancreas to produce
more insulin from the beta cells that are there🙂

Ehhhhhhhhh????

I really hope that wasn't a pharmacist that said that. They are s'posed to be far more knowledgable about such things!

Liraglutide (NN2211), marketed under the brand name Victoza, is a long-acting glucagon-like peptide-1 agonist (GLP-1 agonist)

You are correct Lanzlady, I'd check your items very carefully when they come through! 😱

Could it have been a pharmacy assistant, behind the counter? In the chemists I use, the pharmacist usually stays behind another counter at a higher level. If they meant "it's injectable and needs to be kept in a fridge", then saying "like insulin" is much quicker.
