As a T2 it is normal to have some insulin resistance and it took me nearly a year to get my insulin requirements right. I adjusted to the injections and did get good bg's and HbAc's for another year. I settled nicely into a routine and didn't even mind the planning that comes with being on insulin.

But just when I thought I had it all sussed out, everything changed. I kept getting hypo's all the time and lost my hypo-awareness altogether. I have lost some weight through exercise, but not enough (I think) to make that big a difference. I had to drastically reduce the amount of insulin I inject and it really frightened me. I was convinced that I was doing it all wrong, but my DSN has reassured me that these things can happen. She finds the situation very interesting.

Now this got me wondering if it is possible to loose your insulin resistance and if it happened to anybody else?
