I have heard about them but never wore one. Gone back to winter weight jogging bottoms and thermal vest for gardening this week. Brrr it's a chilly north wind!
Or as an old gardener said " if you can't put your bare bum on the soil without flinching... its too cold to plant spuds " 😱
At my school you had to change into summer uniform (cotton dress, blazer and straw hat) after half term. It snowed on 1 June! I never forgot because it was my birthday!!!
