What happens if.... I try not to stick the needle in too far but in doing so, it slipped out and I have no idea, what amount went in, but definitely not the whole lot.

You need to put the needle all the way in. You shouldn’t be trying to put it only part way in.

If it’s slipping out of its own accord, perhaps you need a longer needle. But before that, I’d concentrate on perfecting your injection technique.

Here’s a photo of a pen needle. You can see the needle tip and see the body of the needle which after a few millimetres disappears into the plastic. That’s where you push the needle in to - that plastic bit into which the needle disappears. Every bit of the needle that’s outside the plastic should go into you:

There isn't such a thing as trying to stick the needle in too far, it will only go the length of the needle so I don't understand exactly what you mean by "too far in" in regards to "what happens if I didn't get the full dose" then you'll just have to keep a closer eye on your levels xx

Hi. You should push the needle in as far as it will go up to the bubble bit but not too hard. I've never had a needle 'fall out'
