Hi,
The other day i accidentally bought "indian tonic water" instead of just soda water......the label said <0.9g of sugar so i drank it.....it didnt give me a headache, so i guess it couldnt have contained sugar. But on the web it says that indian tonic water has sugar added to it. So is it some kind of "safe sugar" like fructose or something?

Yes, tonic water contains a small amount of carbs (probably sugar).
Some people may find they can drink it with no impact to their BG whereas others prefer slimline version.
We are all different and the way to find out how it affect you is to test your BG.

Fructose is not a safe sugar. I don't think there are any.
If the tonic water you bought showed 0 (oups 0.9) carbs then it was probably a 'diet' version. Some tonic water does have sugar, but these days it is likely to have that information on the label.

Some "diet" or "Light" versions have sugar in them too... e.g. Fever Tree Light is not carb free.
