Type 2
I am type 2 and have had to work very hard at getting a supply of test strips. At first they said no but I just kept asking in a polite way. The senior practice doctor has at last prescribed 50 strips per month (he tried all the usual things, against practice policy etc), not a lot but better than nothing and I feel a victory that may help other type 2's. I am hoping to get them tomorrow. It has taken seven months. Persistence has paid off. 🙂

That's great news - well done for sticking to your guns, I hope that the GP has learned something from the experience! 🙂

thats good news

Thank you for your replies. I went to collect them and at first the people at Boots said they had not got the prescription and then they said "We don't keep them in stock. Come back next week." Ho Hum. I'll keep trying good job I have some of mine left. 🙂
