I love ratatouille but other half hates it yet likes all the individual ingredients just not all together. The only time I got away with making it for myself was when he was in hospital.Floris has hit us today. Very, very gusty winds. One outdoor tomato plant down, and my huge courgette plant looks a bit “loose” and wobbly. To be honest, I’ve more courgettes than you could shake a stick at! Luckily, I popped into the greenhouse and garden before Floris got really wild and picked these. I’ve made a huge pan of ratatouille and two jars of tomato sauce, for pasta etc. First time water bathing.
I’ve only used the biggest courgette, still got the others! 😳
I love it. Mr Eggy pretends he’s not keen but he loves it really. 😉 First time making it with fresh tomatoes, usually use tinned. It’s got a lovely intense sweet flavour I was asked if I’d added sugar to it.I love ratatouille but other half hates it yet likes all the individual ingredients just not all together. If I even suggest it or try to disguise it I am quoted the bit about Kreplatch from The Thousand Deaths of Mr Small.I love it.
