After 4 months of pumping, my latest HbA1c was 7.3 ....not perfect I know but better than my last of 7.9. I've worked quite hard, although had some cannula/absorbtion problems for a while initially. Can't help feeling a little disappointed not to be in the 6s though! :( I am determined to make the 6s next time!

Great to see a reduction Phil 🙂 Now that you are more accustomed to the pump I'm sure you will make the 6s next time around 🙂 How often do you have your HbA1c done? Mine is done every 6 months.

But remember a steady decrease is always best, good job so far......🙂

Well done! Like Novo said, slow and steady is best 🙂 You'll be even better next time now that you are familiar with your pump

Thanks Alan, my HbA1c was done in june (7.9) for the first time as a pumper and again a week ago (7.3) so quite pleased with the drop. My next one is in January prior to my annual review....I'll have to get my insulin/carb ratio right over crimbo!! :D Normally though HbA1c is done every 6 months.

That's a great result. Well done:D

A few 10ths is a great achievement Phil (and has surprisingly massive risk reduction benefits as you will no doubt know).

Sorry to hear about your absorption probs - finding suitable/reliable cannula sites are now I think my main stumbling block to enquiring about pump therapy.

Well done on the reduction though. Onward and downward 🙂
