- Relationship to Diabetes
- Type 2
I was only recently diagnosed and what originally kicked off the checks that led to my diagnosis was going to the doctors with a small sore on my neck that wouldn?t heal.
looks like I?ve been type 2 for a while, probably a few years (turns out my previous surgery had me down as diabetic but didn?t tell me)
I wondered if anybody had any experience with/or knowledge of the impaired healing that I now seem to experience. I?ve got lots of tattoo and a few piercings and I had my toenails removed (for medical reasons) and I never had any problems healing, but the last of all this was a few years ago, so I don?t know if I was diabetic then.
the friends that do my tattoos (they are professional tattooists) are worried about tattooing me now, in case I don?t heal properly, I?m also interested to know if tattooing could affect my bg. I not one of those that enjoys the experience as well as the end product. I find it very, very painful and have to beg them to continue while fighting the tears.
