Hi everyone

Thank you so much for your support about today's operation. Both the general anaesthetic and the eye operation went smootly so just keeping fingers crossed now that it worked. They also checked the pressure in the other eye and that is now the best it has ever been (after the surgeries and changes in medication with the last two visits to eye casualty) so hopefully the scary, scary operations now won't be for a very long time. I'm in the mood for celebrating!!! Any suggestions??

Yayyyyy I'm well happy for you AJ xxxx

Was thinking about you earlier and wondering how things were going. Glad it's all over for you today and the pressure in the other eye looks good. Enjoy your celebration whatever you decide to do or eat! xx (or even drink!)

Fantastic news AJ - thought of you yesterday!

Brilliant news AJ!! Congratulations x

Grand news AJ, I'm right chuffed for you.

Thank you everyone for your lovely messages. I did have fun yesterday when they gave me a prescription for all of the wrong eye medications.......it was quite surreal trying to tell them that they were wrong when I was recovering from a general anaesthetic....fortunately they eventually gave me the correct prescription and phoned today to apologize. I think my body is recovering today....I've had to do several humalog jabs to get the BGs into single figures and done lots of sleeping. Susie dog is looking after me, ably assisted by OH apart from when he has to pop into work. I will probably be bored by tomorrow...........The list of things that I'm not allowed to do for the next fortnight is rather long

Relax and enjoy yourself. I'm sure you'll soon find something enjoyable to do.
