Hey Guys,
I'm going on holiday to Malia with some friends, 5 of us, beginning of september. Don't worry it's not planning to be one of those typical Malia drunken holidays, i'm sure drinks will be involved but not to excess!! We're going self catering and in a family resort, it's not a 18-30 holiday.
Its my first time going abroad.. a) without the parents and b) with diabetes and c) other than Lanzarote! Fortunately as you all know i'm not on insulin but otherwise I think it would really put me right off of going :/
I still have my meter of course and so what do I have to do about that? I guess a doctors note is required for the sharps? Do you think i'd be able to go to the one here where i'm not a registered patient (i'm at uni, obviously home for the holidays). Also being coeliac means i'm going to have to be careful & also take my own food! Arrgh! I'm thinking pasta, porridge and some rolls does that sound good?
Any suggestions etc are much appreciated ! I'm trying not to stress out I am just very hopeful it'll go well.
