Yes.. i'm forced to go out.. im self isolating but I need food, online shopping is a waste of time as theres no delivery
slots.. who the hell do they give them to its not us..? Supermarket SHOULD change there system for the most vulnerable
first, theres GOT to be a system in place for the vulnerable set in stone by the government, instead of skirting around everything.
I live alone and i "have" to go out to try to get food..
What the government Boris johnson says is a load of bullshine as far as im concerned.. I bet he's got plenty to feed his face on !

Is there no organisation near where you live that can do shopping for you? Our local community centre is organising volunteers to shop and leave stuff on the doorstep, payment can be made by card to the community centre direct.

you can do something called self distancing which is the alternative to self isolating.

sadly i am in the same boat no family, good neighbours now gone, the community centre has closed down, basically no help of any sort, i also have a poorly partner and in the end we both have to live..unable to self isolate.

seems when you do go out around here people are still walking around the city and town although a bit quite, bus services all fully running.

i also tried the online shopping and not a single delivery slot even upto the end of next week.

the help which we need so we can self isolate just isn't in place around here.

Well firstly what is the reason you are self isolating? If it's because you have symptoms then going out is a massive no-no, as Robin says check the internet and see if there is any helpers in your area xx

I contacted my local "Volunteer action group" and they are putting a plan together, she said
she'll ring me next week when they hope to start... fingers crossed.

We have to go out too, what else can one do? I was hoping to do online shopping, especially for my son, but no chance, no slots. I will have to get other family to take me there once a week with a bag of shopping for him and go out as usual for me and Mum. No choice. I hope you can get sorted.

I had an email from Sainsburys this morning I don't do either online or click and collect shopping, but they were saying they were hoping to working on increasing slots and facilities for both and hoped to announce on Monday.
