Is your partner able to help you at all to get back on track?
Not 100% sure if your fall off the wagon as you put it is down to you getting on and doing the things you feel a "normal" person would do.
OR
If you are just VERY VERY down and are basically at the bottom.

Hope you can get back on track 🙂

Take Care

Sarah x

Hi Sarah my partner is new to this whole diabetes thing and im not afraid to admit I dont let alot of people get involved in it coz it feels like a burden and dont want him to understand the whole sorry affair. Hes supportive because he knows i need to do certain things to feel better but thats it and I dont really want him anymore involved if im honest :( and id say its a total 50/50 split between getting on with things and being VERY down at the moment. I just wanna try ana sort things before I slip back and end up as low as i felt last year - i know my stresses - work and diabetes and there both awful at the moment so im being careful. 🙂 thanks

well done for your results yesterday Emma!

I went through what you did and it lasted about 6 years :( best thing I ever did was find this site and start talking to people. It is just one day at a time, that is all you can do. So that's one day down 🙂 well done!

Be proud of yourself. No-one said this diabetes-lark was easy...and we know only too well what it takes to try and manage it properly.

Here's to all your results today 🙂

Hi Emma.

If you see your diabetes as a big stressor in your life (as it often is for all of us I suspect) could you consider sharing some of it?

I don't think I could cope with it if I kept it to myself and refused Sarah's involvement. Or anyone else's.

Could you maybe explain some of the basics a bit more and try and be a bit more open about it? I see it as being a part of me, good or bad, and where I go, it goes, like the colour of my skin, my political views, my smelly feet or my taste in music.🙄

Consequently, whoever is a major part of my life has to accept some consequence of me being diabetic. And amazingly they do.

You're doing brilliantly getting back in the driving seat again but if you can let your new man into the passenger seat, that might help you to cope better.🙂

Rob

Hi Emma, Good to hear from you again. I'm really sorry to hear that you have been through some hard times. Your sugar levels yesterday were very good, well done for getting back into things. If you are feeling down, it might be worth talking to your doctor about it and getting some support. Good luck and well done x
