BurgerKing in Japan is now selling red burgers.

I once heard that Heinz were doing a green tomato ketchup, made from tomatoes which stay green when ripe (though how does one know when they're ripe?). Sadly, it doesn't seem to have caught on; if it had, they might also have done a yellow tomato ketchup.

Heinz did a lovely pineapple ketchup, which was great on bacon sarnies; unfortunately, that too has disappeared.

You can tell when a tomato is ripe by its ease of picking. If you take it in your hand and twist it upwards slightly, a ripe tomato will break off the stem at the 'knuckle'. An unripe one either will do nothing or will come off the stalk altogether, leaving its little green hat behind.
(I sometimes grow a stripy green tomato for its looks alone - isn't quite as sweet as a red tomato, but looks great in a salad!)
