If you could invite 6 people to dinner

It would hurt to much to have dearly departed parents & other family members round just to say goodbye again.

Would have to have a good long think about who would be on list, Winston Churchill would definitely be one.

I hope Diana Dors wouldn't be bringing Alan Lake along 😱
Why not though? Rabblerouser? It was all so sad and their poor lad left an orphan. :care:

Im going to be gready and have a second dinner party
Louis Braille 1809-1852 French blind alphabet creator
Victoria 1819-1901 Queen of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland (1837-1901)
My mum who I miss so much, just to tell her that I love her
The teacher who told me I would not amount to much in life How wrong he was
Emmeline Pankhurst 1858-1926 English political reformer
Haile Selassie 1891-1975 Ethiopian emperor 1930-1974
Think of the conversation you could have with them

I'd like Holmes and Watson, Bigglesworth and Smyth, and Jekyll and Hyde.

Not Algy?
I considered Algernon, but my dad was in the RAF and spoke of the bond between pilots and their ground crew.
Dad was given a lift home to York from 'somewhere in the south of England' by Peter Howard, of Castle Howard, to get him home on a weekend pass - in a little red sports car which went like stink. Smyth followed Biggles after the war.

I love the Biggles books! I like Smyth because he occasionally challenges (very respectfully) one of the team (often Ginger) when they come up with a particularly hare-brained idea.

Bruce Springsteen and/or Fleetwood Mac (ok i know they are more than one but we need music)
Michael Palin (interesting to listen about his travels)
David Attenborough (to hear about the natural world)
Any chef (they can cook, i don't mind what as long as its not liver)
Emmeline Pankhurst (i want to know what was it that made her start to promote rights for women)
My dad (because i never had the chance to say goodbye and tell him i love him)
Peter Kay or Chris McCausland (because we all need to laugh more)
Hubby (just because i love him)

I know thats more than 6 but i'll fit in extra chairs somewhere.

Interesting question...

1. Harrison Ford (for his wood working)
2. Cary Grant (how to be so achingly sauve)
3. Heinz Guderian (military strategist)
4. Michael Pollan (writer)
5. Hicham El Guerrouj (world mile record holder)
6. Dalai Lama (for spiritual guidance)
