Hi guys since being diagnosed I have had a real crave for biscuits and I know I can still eat regular ones within reason but I was wondering if anyone had any recipes for low carb/sugar free biscuits and also the nutritional info with it actually any recipes would be great as fed up of looking at the nutrition info of products online haha x

Hi Kaylz

I haven't made any low carb biscuits yet but I usually find that there are loads of recipes online.

If you do find a good recipe please share!

Well try any biscuit recipe, substitute the normal flour for ground almonds and the normal sugar for granulated sweetener (remembering it's about 4x as sweet!) if you want to. Personally I eat very few biscuits but of course were they home made I daresay I'd most likely eat nearly all of em, so I'm not offering to test it out!

Want some low-carb muffin recipes instead?

Any low-carb recipes are welcome any meal or snacks to be honest haha so fed up of trawling through supermarket sites to check info gets boring after a while but has to be done x

Unfortunately don't think my teeth would cope with the chewing haha but will certainly look them up thanks

A company called Diablo do sugar free biscuits and chocolates. I'm not sure how nice they are as I've never tried them but be careful... a lot of sugar free foods are sweetened with polyols and can have laxative effects!

Yeah I'm not going down the sugar free road for exactly that reason haha besides everyone needs a wee bit of sugar in their diet even us one biscuit won't hurt and I've done well so far 🙂 x

Lotus biscoff biscuits are 5g of carb per biscuit, (the ones that often come with a cup of coffee in a cafe) they are cinnamon flavoured. They sell them in all the normal supermarkets, but I find them in the local Poundland as well!

Oh don't worry I have 2 packs of those little beauties already stocked I absolutely <3 them 🙂
