Thank you both and good advice.

I have been really impressed by all your help.

Think I have a bit more of a plan now to follow so will see how it goes over next few weeks and review.

I have also through the years of being on this forum found that works for one does not work for others.

I started the thread saying I am targeting 40 per meal or 120/day.

However other people quite rightly have said I should be thinking about drinks, sauces, etc so am going to have to try for 35 or say100/day. Sounds impossible to me but need to give some more thought as to how this might be poss.

Thanks for your advice
This is my menu today - it comes to 75gm carbs
B: Poached egg and 1 slice low carb Hovis bread
L: Grilled mushrooms, tomatoes, 3 turkey rashers
D: Tesco southern fried drumstick and thigh (oven baked), carrot and swede mash, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans, low salt gravy
Plus 170ml milk and 1 Benecol mini drink
So you could have 80gm frozen fruit with a dollop of Greek yogurt to take it up to around 90gm

You'll see lots of people have different alternatives, like cauliflower rice or mash. I just happen to like carrot, swede and sometimes parsnip puree. You can get carb free noodles like Bare Naked (although perhaps not at the moment with all the panic buying!!!). But you do have to cut out the cakes, biscuits, pies, pastries, sweets and fruit juice.

I wouldn't go too berserk about parsnip puree (we call that buttered parsnips) if I were you - parsnips are about the highest carb vegetable nearest to that of the humble spud - and it tends to be an acquired taste too. Some people absolutely hate then, and that's quite common!
