I’ve always just worn an ID wristband but wanted to see if there were any recommendations for an actual bracelet? I fancied getting one for a while now.
I wear a MedicAlert bracelet. Mine’s fairly plain but you can get various styles from them, and, of course, it has your crucial medical info engraved on it and your additional details and emergency contacts held on their system in case of an emergency 24/7.
If you google “medical ID bands” it brings up loads of sites, we've used iceid.co.uk before and they have a good selection, you can get your personal id engraved on some of them and you don’t have to pay a subscription fee like you do with MedicAlert. On my daughter’s we had engraved her name, type 1 diabetes, on insulin pump, and my mobile number as the contact.
Most silicon ID bands are made for far bigger wrists than mine and I wouldn't wear anything that I didn't like so on my right wrist I wear a gold chain bracelet permanently, with a good watch also gold on my left wrist when going out or my faithful old (20yrs+) Seiko with stainless steel back on a leather (well actually, lizard) strap on my left wrist. Most watch faces being as gig as the straight line across the back of my wrist, look ridiculous and the bracelets don't lie flat - took me nearly 20 yrs hunting in both UK and France regularly, to find a gold one small enough for me!
Personally I don’t like the silicone ones , I decided on Medic alert , it costs around £35 a yr , they keep a data base of your info such as your I’d , conditions , medications, emergency contact details and a card for your wallet with all your info on.
Then you can buy bracelets, chains with a disk or a watch from them that has your choice of info on the back . They come in a choice of stainless steel, silver or gold they also have some sports wristbands .
Ive opted for stainless steel as it’s less likely to be nicked
You could choose an identity bracelet available from jewellers and have it engraved .
