Just have a "normal" ice cream, one won't do any harm long term, there isn't such a thing as can and cant have that we can tell you, we are all individual and tolerate things differently so where one might get off with it the next might not, that's why we tend to test before eating and then again 2 hours after, a 2-3 mmol rise is seen as acceptable but if more you may want to reduce the portion or leave it to just a one off treat, enjoy a treat xx
There used to be products sold as being ’diabetic’ but these were never really any more suitable for people with diabetes than the regular versions, and were often much more expensive. After some campaigning by Diabetes UK the regulations were changed about 5 years ago so that products can no longer be labelled as ‘suitable for diabetics’
