Was out for a walk with my daughter last week. Went past a branch of Boots which had a display of all sorts of liquid soaps in the window, I am very bored with the limited selection which the supermarkets are offering at the moment so thought I’d nip in and buy a couple. Daughter wandered off while I went to pay for them, the shop assistant saw her walk away and then said “ooh, is that your daughter, what's her name?” So I told her, and then am ashamed to say that I immediately wondered what my daughter was doing that she shouldn’t have been, even though she doesn’t usually misbehave when we are out! The shop assistant called her back, and then raised her arm and said “SNAP!” She had spotted my daughter's Libre and was also wearing one - and an Insight Pump as it turned out. So as the shop wasn’t busy there then followed quite an interesting discussion about the pros and cons of different pumps, what pouches you can get to put them in, etc etc.
I think that's the first time we've met another T1 who wasn't either my mum or at hospital clinic or a group of T1s having a prearranged meeting. The shop assistant also seemed quite pleased to meet a fellow pumper!
