I had a call from the docs earlier today after having bloods taken last week as i was concerned about my levels being way to high.

Won't know what my HbA1c result is until weds when I have my phone appointment with the doc who is the diabetes doc, but have been told to double my gliclazide to 160 mg morning and night :( which puts me on the max of the triple wammy of diabetic tablets. :(

If I follow the usual trend, it will by hypo city again, just hope when I speak to the doc he will see my side and consider insulin and I can get put on it. Now lost count of the times the roller coaster scene has happened to me. :(

Sorry to hear this pav, I know what problems this increase gives you :( It has to be the sensible decision to put you on insulin, surely? Good luck with your appointment, I hope that there is a positive outcome this time for you 🙂

Hope you have a good appointment and get the right care for you.

Hope they take your concerns over the (repeated) rollercoaster seriously.

1st round and not responding, before breakfast 5.6 unusually lower than normal as normally been in the 7's to 9's still on old dose of tablets. Two hours later on max morning dose of gliclazide (160 mg) 12.2, five hours later 9.6 :(. I used to respond very quickly to gliclazide. will have to see what tonight and day two brings.

Missed the call from the doctor I must of been the first on the call list and sods law was on the phone :( and they don't ring back, just leave a message to make a new appointment. :(

To cap it all I was out later in the day, went to test and yet another broken display on the meter, thankfully could take a meter meter reading and transfer the result from the meter to the phones app via NFC, a couple of biscuits needed so I could get home without stopping. First thing tomorrow is a call to Glucomen and ask for another meter, think this is the third meter that I have broken in a short time.
