Those are certainly quite different specifications, I wonder why? I'd heard about the 10 days (we speculated here that it might be so they can make more money out of the US insurance system 🙄 ) but not the 12 hours instead of 1 hour recommended in the UK and Europe. Mind you, I find mine work best if I leave them in for 24 hours before activation.
 
I can only assume it’s down to regulatory differences between the US and Europe.
