Hey just wondering is Papayas and pomegranate fruit okay to eat or is it too high ???

Just checking only because I’m trying to see how far I can widen my range without my sugars going up .

Also can stress make your sugar levels go up ???

Yes stress can affect your sugar level.
From what I can find Papaya is 11 carbs per 100 grams - A medium-sized papaya (approximately 275 grams) contains about: 119 calories. 1.3 grams of protein. 30 grams of carbohydrates.
Pomegranate - One pomegranate (282g) provides 234 calories, 4.7g of protein, 52.7g of carbohydrates, and 3.3g of fat.
I guess these are possibly under the tropical fruit heading, which are generally high carbs. Maybe just have a few pomegranate seeds with your breakfast, then see how that goes - Pomegranate Seeds (0.5 cup) contains 16g total carbs, 13g net carbs, 1g fat, 1g protein, and 70 calories. They can be really beneficial in a lot of ways - and they taste so good too.
Hope you find a way to have a little of these fruits.

The amounts of such high carb fruits I would be able to eat would probably mean wasting most of each piece of fruit, or making something I could freeze to preserve it.
I stick to berries, with added flavours, gelatine or jellies, or yoghurt as that is safe for me, I can cope with the amounts I can actually eat - the gelatine and or yoghurt bulks it up considerably.

I don’t mind freezing it , I just want to see if I can at least have a tiny bit with some berries on yoghurt and nuts .

I wish it wouldn’t to be honest (I dislike stress ) .
Even if I could add it to some yoghurt with some berries and some nuts that may work ???

Portion size is key with everything. Find the portion size of whichever food it is that your body can tolerate and then work out if it is worth while eating that small amount or not. If it is only a very tiny portion of something quite bland flavoured then it might not be worth while but a little bit of something tasty that you really like added to other lower carb foods to give you a little burst of flavour may make you appreciate it all the more. I think this is particularly true of fruit because they are so flavourful.

I consider fruit as garnish. So very strongly flavoured fruit in teeny tiny amounts turn up in my meals often, along with spices and herbs and garlic and ginger and onions. Because a teeny amount can give big flavour hit - I use them. I buy frozen fruit and ginger and garlic and onions and then just use one small piece chopped up into my food. This way I stay under 20g carbs a day and keep my levels well controlled.

I remember as a kid, more years ago than I like to think, pomegranates were a luxury fruit which you picked out each 'fruity pip' with a pin then had a competition as to how far you could spit the seed.
Papaya nobody had even heard of.

I remember people bringing them in to school for lunchtime and sharing one out between a few of us. It was a big excitement.
