I Am Going Home Tomorrow

0@AndBreathe , @Robin , @EMcKT and everybody else thank you for your concern. Yes, I am absolutely shattered! On Wednesday the transport was booked for 1:30 which should have got me home between 2:00 and 2:15. It finally arrived about 3:00 and also took two other patients (which left the unit nearly 1/3rd empty). I was the last dropped off at around 6:00. I had needed some cold water towards the end of the journey. Fortunately they were crew that knew me.. A carer came an hour later but I settled for just a can of NAS soup with the sandwich the hospital had given me. Somebody got me a few things yesterday and my sister iks coming tomorrow. At the moment |I feel tired al,l the time and you have to be ready for carers twice a day and the company give you 2 - 3 hour windows. Also I am not as strong as I thought and I have to work on that to get independent again. A distinct nurse was coming today to change the dressing on my foot. When nobody had arrived by 5:00 I called and was told they had changed it to tomorrow but not got around to telling me!

Enjoy your evening and the rest of the weekend.

Good to hear from you @MikeyBikey . Take it steady. I hope at least you can get some decent sleep now. That'll help your overall recovery.

Glad to hear you finally got home @MikeyBikey I am not surprised you are shattered..Take it slowly while you rebuild your strength and stamina. At least you are now back in charge of your insulin dosing and having nicer food.
Sending hugs xx

I'm amazed you can be so sanguine. You must have been on edge waiting for the nurse then only discovered she had been postponed when you made a phone call. Your friends and family are probably avoiding overcrowding you and marked today as a busy day for you. Glad you are coping and hope the care put in place becomes more reliable.

I've only just seen this thread. @MikeyBikey its good to hear you're home at last. Take care.
