I would like to share my own recent 6 months experience of belly size reduction and all other related parameters:

Following are my health and various sizes parameters (15th April - 15th October, 2024) :
My Age >> 58 years, Height - Typically South Asian height >> 170 CM
Belly size >> Reduced by 5 inches in last 6 months. Today > 40 inches. Refer an image of my belt today.
But, amazing to share >> Arms & thighs muscles increased by 1 inch each with nice shape.
Weight >> Reduced by 12 kgs (102 >> 90 kg)
Exercise daily ( 5 days a week ) >> Garden Gym (Resistance training) morning session under sunlight - 60 min.
Yoga Evening(Indoor) >> 60 min.
Medical reports >> once in 3 months.
Most important healthcare impact >> Blood Pressure reduced from 155/95 >> 127/78 (measured twice a day)
Triglyceride >> Reduced from 285 to 187 (std units).
Hb1ac >> Reduced from 6.7 to 6.3, Glucose fasting << 100 (std units)
Diet >> Majorly Jainism style food and habits. Beyond the selection of food >> The food schedule, various options of fasting, breaking the fasting in traditional scientific ways and meditation activities for focusing on the goal helped a lot.

Dear Readers,

During the previous session, I was excited to share the inspiring parameters but in the flow, I forgot to mention few challenges during the 6 months journey.

The above post of weight loss from 102>>90 kg would not be completed without following healthcare constraints I faced during the whole journey :

1. Umbilical Hernia - Since 2020, I am seriously facing this issue putting constraints to my resistance exercise and workout schedules.
2. Increased prostate glands - Urination during the weight loss process increases due to prostate gland challenges. I followed home remedies, specific yoga postures and specific cycles for swift flow urination like dual/triple voiding etc.
3. Lower back and waist pain due to bigger belly size - Putting limitations on the walking distance of maximum 500 steps needing to sit in 90 degrees posture for few minutes and then continue again. Back pain also put limitations on my other work out plans.
4. Constipation and acidity - I could gain control on the acidity 100% from the second month itself but faced difficulties in solving constipation issues due to new system of diet and fasting schedules. It took me about 3 months to get rid off constipation issue which was really a frustrating and sometimes I used to cry a lot if stomach not emptied fully or no trigger.
5. Hunger and craving was not an issue right after second month.
6.
I wanted not to stick to particular weight loss system but was in my mind to have holistic way which can be sustainable till the whole life span here onwards with whole food life style. So, it was a big challenge in the selection of food.

Congratulations on your excellent weight loss, belly loss and great improvement in other health parameters. Keep up the good work!

Good job Santosh on these results, keep at it! And you're right - it's very important to find something that's long lasting and can become your new 'normal'. Keep us informed on how you get on!

Congratulations on your achievement. This thing will inspire me to be consistent in this journey. I am also struggling to lose weight with yoga to manage my diabetes without taking pills. But you know what, it is not easy to be consistent with the exercise routine. My yoga coach guiding me on yoga to lose weight and maintain diabetes and he is very confident about it. Anyways, your achievements have increased my encouragement. Thank you

Thanks for remarks.
Exercise helps in all dimensions, it should be the disciplined routine as important as food and sleep to ensure the body functions. Check your diet and its schedule. Do you follow any specific fasting or keto or calory deficit model for weight loss? I shall be glad to share few tips I followed in my weight loss journey.
