I think Australia has a reciprocal health agreement with the UK, which means you should be able to get a prescription and supplies, but you’ll be treated the same as an Australian citizen regarding any co-payment system, or any other charges they may have. @Eddy Edson might know, I think he’s in Australia.
Regarding the Libre, if you use a reader, a Uk reader will not read an Australian sensor, I believe. If you use a smart phone to read it, though, you may be able to download the Australian app for it, I think you’d have to phone whoever distributes Libre in Australia and ask.

Hi - I'm in Oz but I don't know very much about what arrangements are in place for UK tourists.

This might be the best place to start: https://www.diabetesaustralia.com.au/visiting-or-moving-to-australia

As Robin says, Australia has a reciprocal agreement (RHCA) with the UK which means that you can get access to subsidised diabetes supplies but you need to go through some bureaucracy to get yourself registered, as explained in the links on that page. It might take some time & please do note that insulin, GP visits etc etc generally aren't free in Oz, though there might be a partial subsidy (and maybe you have travel insurance which provides some coverage?).

If you get stuck, the NDSS Helpline might be able to help: 1300 136 588

Good luck!

If you don't go through the red tape I'll tell you what it cost in 2004!

AUS $ 60+ to see GP and get prescription.
Another $60 each for 5 Novorapid and 5 Levemir Flexpens.

I didn't go through the red tape because my sister lived there and advised me that, neither for the doctor nor the office you had to go to in order to register, could you make an appointment and just had to queue. If they don't see you that day, then go back the next etc etc.

Things of course, may have changed.

I had to re-register with Medicare early last year after the diabetes DX - hadn't seen a doc in so long I'd disappeared from the system. It was pretty quick and painless, fwiw.
