Morning all

Woke up on a good sugar of 5.3 this morning 🙂 was very happy

Took my insulin dose as normal and ate my breakfast. literally 10mins after eating i felt rubbish and shakey so tested and was at 2.7 😱

Ate 3 jelly babies and went and sat down for a bit. started shaking badly and sweating everywhere and I mean everywhere. Don't think I've ever felt my legs sweat like that, it was pouring off me.

After 15 mins was at 6.5 so back in safe territory but felt rubbish and sweating for about 45 mins. is it normal for the symptoms to take so long to wear off?

Keeping an eye on my sugars for the rest of the morning. Just feel exhausted and very tired. Never had a hypo that felt that bad before. :(

Can do. I may be wrong but I think I read somewhere that hypo 'hangover' is the result of lowered potassium levels, so even if you correct the blood sugar, you might still have low potassium, causing you to feel 'off'. I think this might be one of the reasons why bananas always used to have a strong association with diabetes treatment (because they are high in sugar and potassium).

If this was a first thing in the morning job, it could be that you were on your borderline low potassium level in the first place and the hypo just pushed you over the edge.

I woke 3.3 this morning after a night hypo.

I feel like I've been hit by a bus & dreading my next test (aka when I walk back to work)

Hope you are ok for the rest of the day
