As I had yet another spat with my husband and am getting the silent treatment again, I went out for a solitary meal tonight.
I had a glass of red wine, only small , and a leggiera pizza at pizza express.. Very nice and it had lots of green salad in the middle of a pasta ring.
But I suddenly felt very hot and quite drunk . It lasted for about 15 mins then disappeared just as quickly.
Was this a hypo?

I drank lots of water but I have no idea if that was the right thing to do..?
Should I have done something else?

I think it is highly unlikely it was an actual hypo Ann, especially since you had just eaten, but it's possible that you blood sugar levels were lower than you have experienced lately and this could have triggered the symptoms. The only way to know if it was to do with your BG levels would be to test, unfortunately, as higher than normal levels might also produce such symptoms! A little sugar like a biscuit might have relieved the symptoms more quickly if it was a lower than usual level. Hope things settle at home for you 🙂

Would agree with Northerner on this one. My other suggestion is a bit odd, but considering things are not good with your hubby, were you upset or worried? I get these feelings when I get panicky, it comes very quick and goes away after I calm down. Its probably, as Northerner says, lower blood sugars than you are used to but I thought it was worth asking.

Also, I hope you can sort things out with your hubby soon, it seems like he doesn't appreciate what a wonderful wife he has and doesn't treat you as well as you deserve. Hugs xxx

Stress and anxiety could make you feel like that Ann, but as he says, it was unlikely to have been a hypo. The only way to know for sure is to test which isn't easy for folk who don't get strips on prescription. I'd suggest getting a meter and some strips for yourself so you can find out what's going on.

Thanks for all your comments. Yes I am stressed, I am , I think quite depressed... D and also problems with husband. I have been looking into therapy but it is a bit expensive. I had some NHS therapy for a short while but she wasn't really all that helpful, she said she couldn't give advice and that's what I need... Impartial advice.

I am going out tonight for another meal alone as usual on a Wednesday night so I'll see how that affects it all.

Thanks again.
