Had my lunch not too long ago I'd eaten my jacket potato & was eating my choc ice & went hypo but it was too late to do anything about ie testing because the hypo symptoms had well & truly set in ie sweating & a fuzzy feeling on my tongue but it was one if those eating hypos so I ended up having an extra choc ice 2 jelly babies & 2 custard cream biscuits which is 38g extra of carbs. I'm going to be testing again approx 2 hours after I had my lunch so we'll see what my BG level is then!

So 2 hours after lunch tested BG & unbelievably after eating all those extra carbs it was 3.7 even though I didn't feel hypo this time so I had 3 jelly babies to treat the hypo & 15 minutes later it's now a nice 6.2 so I'm going to have 2 custard cream biscuits (16g carbs) because meal isn't due yet & no bolus for the 2 biscuits xx

What did you have with your jacket potato? sorry but I'm predicting a high later at some point as I'm assuming there was a lot of fat consumed that may strike later x

Hi Kaylz, I had tuna & mayo with the jacket potato

That's a lot of carb to fix a hypo, LOL.😛 That happens to me ev now and then - I think I've probably eaten too much and then it seems I haven't...who knows what goes on in our bodies sometimes?!🙄 I hope you're OK now, Gill.🙂

Do you have any idea why you went so low Gill?

Do you have any idea why you went so low Gill?

I'm wondering if the reason is because my BG before lunch was 4.3 & I injected for lunch. At that level of BG I should've injected after lunch.

Before breakfast this morning BG was 4.0 so I injected after breakfast 🙂

It's all trial and error, especially if you're new to the game.
