For me usually as soon as I am above 4 assuming we are talking bolus insulin for a meal.... and I often don't prebolus in that situation as I normally would and just eat straight away.

This might have changed or maybe I've got it wrong but I've always been taught that after a hypo to stop your BGL going down quickly again if your next meal isn't due try to eat 15 to 20g of a slower-acting carbohydrate which could be a sandwich, piece of fruit, bowl of cereal, glass of milk with no insulin.
Or have your meal if it’s due with insulin and once your BGL is back to normal.

It is recommended to have 10-15 g slow acting carbs after a hypo but if I had a sandwich or even a biscuit after a hypo I would be up to 10 in no time, so I don't. Most of the time I only need 1 or 2 jelly babies to treat a hypo which is only 10g max. and that will put me back up to mid 6s or 7

I really don't worry about it. I might even inject my bolus on 3.9 but definitely 4.0 or above as long as I knew hypo treatment had worked and I was heading up.
