Oh, I almost forgot, my low yesterday was 3.7. Just the one and a banana toasty took care of it.

Did you have anything sugary beforehand? Just that, if your levels had continued to fall the banana toastie may not have digested quickly enough to 'catch' it. I've been in the situation in the past where I have been in the upper 3s, gone for something like toast and found my levels to still be dropping - because I had eaten the toast however, jelly babies wern't working as quickly and I continued to fall! Just something to bear in mind 🙂

No, I didn't take anything before the toasty. I tested after we got back from yesterday's walk (I borrowed a neighbour's dog - I was out for about an hour but didn't have my peddy thingy with me) and was 3.7 and hungry so I had the toasty and tested again half an hour later, 5.2. Sorted.

Well yesterday was yesterday,
40 lengths of the pool, just over 400m and I can't spell lengths (or anything else without extreme care) I'm 2.9
If I were a fish, I think I'd be cured!

Arghhhhh just had a 3.7 wowzers,on my own as well, thank god I had a snack size mars bar humph unimpressed with this .

My little Grace had a 2.4 at 11.30, when we were round my dad's this morning. Sheena

Might be worth having a talk with your DSN or GP Steff, perhaps your meds need reviewing. I know the weather may be playing a part, but you never know. Might be worth having some extra hypo supplies to hand too!

Aw bless! Have you worked out which hypo treatments she likes/dislikes yet? What insulin is she on? Hope it's a long time before she has another one 🙂

I had a 3.4 yesterday but ok today so far.

Grace is on Humilin and she has a tube of Glucogel in her little Diabetic case. The Nurse told dad to give her something sweet and then to test 1/2 later, but surprisingly she appeared to be fine, so a bit like me ( she's a really good eater, just like her Nana :D) It must be the Scottish blood 😛 Thanks for your concern Alan. Sheena

Well, today I've had a 3.4 about an hour before tea, 3.9 just before eating and now, two hours after eating I'm 4.1!!! 😱 Not sure if I over-injected or if it's the heat, or if the food is taking too long to digest - curse you, Myriad Factors of Diabetes Control! 😡

Decided to have a yoghurt and see how things are in an hour (unless I hypo again!)

p.s. Glad to hear Grace coped well with it Sheena :D)

Well, an hour later and I'm still only 4.6! Must have got the dose either wrong or totally perfect!

Gah! Now 3.3! 😱 Obviously got the dose totally wrong tonight :( At least the insulin should be running out by now!

Got into bed last night after brushing my teeth and decided to test before falling asleep, reading 4.3 so downstairs for a digestive biscuit and back in the bathroom to brush my teeth all over again 😡 will I ever learn🙄

I finally got my levels up to 5.7 before bed, but then woke from a half-sleep to the curious smell of burnt bacon  Since I haven't eaten bacon for months I surmised that this was out of the ordinary so tested and was 3.9, grrr!

Ugh! Just had another hypo, quite a nasty one :( Felt low so tested and was 3.3 so I necked some jelly babies and they didn't work! I was feeling worse so tested again and I was 2.2! 😱 Had some old lucozade and that appears to have done the trick thankfully. Quite surprised to be falling like that over 4 hours after injecting.

edit: Now back up to 8.0 🙂
