Hi All,
I started HCL 6mths ago due to having so many hypos on older pump system. I haven’t been able to exercise for the last year due to hypos and life but am keen to get back to it (I was reasonably active before).
My problem is that every time I do even mild exercise my blood sugars plummet instantly. Currently playing around with ease off function & timing to reduce background insulin & carb trickle feeding but wondering if anyone else out there has experience of HCL management for excercise? I’m small and very insulin sensitive but I don’t want to stop being active and getting some decent exercise. I am using Dexcom G6, CamAPS FX and an YpsoMed Pump. It keeps me in target well at rest but is not tolerating excercise.
I feel a little bit lost and alone with figuring it out and have hit the floor a couple of times already. I realise it’s all quite new with HCL and I’m lucky to have it but it’s a lot of work to figure this bit out. If there’s anyone on a similar journey I’d love to hear from you
