Just after a bit of advice, I've swapped my long acting from Humulin I to Lantus..reasn being I kept having hypos in the night as a result of the peak in Humulin.

I took Lantus last night for first time, and this morning sugars were ok at 6.1 (and no hypos) however, now theyve sat around the 17 mark?!

however, I did fall off my bike when cycling to work which shook me up a bit, wondered if that is the problem and not the lantus ?

I imagine it was the fall that caused the rise - all those stress hormones kicking in and causing your liver to pour out glucose 😱 I'd test again in an hour or so, I think it's highly unlikely to be the lantus since you woke at good numbers and it wouldn't run out so quickly 🙂

Hope you didn't hurt yourself! 🙂

Thanks , all ok, just a lot of cuts and bruises after fighting with the pavement. Can feel sugars slowly coming back down now - That pint tonight will be well deserved, just have to tackle the ride home on the bike
