I had a hysterectomy 25 years ago ( aged 40) and was prescribed HRT (patches). I am still on them, I get my blood pressure taken once per year and also have to phone the GP for a special request prescription every three months. I did at one time try and stop the HRT, this lasted eight weeks, I couldn’t cope with the sweats, mood swings etc. i read somewhere that HRT is beneficial for diabetes as it helps stabilise the blood sugars. I do not intend to come off HRT, I have many friends some in their seventies who are all on HRT.
