Hi all, I'm just wanting to know how do people get prescribed Ozempic and Mounjaro or any other weight loss drug, I have many conditions, sleep apnea, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol and I can't get it. I work night shift and I'm really struggling on nights lately and would love to be able to come off my CPAP machine.

I think you need to meet certain criteria which include BMI of 35 or 30 if there are other factors. Some medications are only registered for use in Type 2 diabetes not weight loss but others are for weight loss but also in conjunction with diet.
Have you asked your GP.
What your HbA1C is may also be a determining factor.
Have you tried making dietary changes as you may be expected to have been giving that a go.

Ozempic was initially indicated for T2 diabetes management. It was ‘off label’ use for weight loss which caused the ongong shortages. Mounjaro is again for T2 management, but I think is being investigated for weight loss. Wegovy (another semaglutide) is meant to help people with overweight.
One of the major problems with all of these meds is access, and ongoing shortages.
Rybelsus is the same active ingredient in tablet form, which may be more widely available.

If your HbA1C is 54 then you are in the diabetic zone, so you may want to change the 'at risk' in your signature.
However you are not too far into the diabetic zone and many people have reduced their blood glucose level and lost weight by making some significant dietary changes. Have you tried that approach?/
