am64 the thing that struck me at the time that was absolutely stupid was the excuse that i could`nt climb a ladder unsupervised or work on my own unsupervised ,

I was offered a job cleaning windows, basement only! As I was deemed unfit to climb back up!

Sure, go to employment tribunals (they're tribunals, not courts) and fight your case. It has to be you representing yourself, although you can get help / advice eg from trade union, professional body, EHRC (Equality & Human Rights Commission) - see http://www.equalityhumanrights.com/
Unfortunately, it's not something that Moderators can do on your behalf, but personally I would encourage anyone who wants to do so to go ahead, and also encourage anyone who wants to do so to report back on actions / resluts, but be careful about revealing details in the public domain until decisions are finalised. The Legal forum of You're Able http://www.youreable.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=19 is another good place to seek advice, although solicitors rarely visit that forum, and at some point you will need professional legal advice, appropriate to the part of the UK where you live.

William said his job interview with Tesco's was three years ago. The timescale for applying to an Employment Tribunal is three months.
If you know the way round applying 2.75 years late, I'd be delighted to know as one of my bosses is an employment specialist solicitor!
Also, I don't think you are right about not bringing anyone with you, unless the rules in Scotland are different. Last time I was at an employment tribunal, you could be represented by an advocate (= barrister) let alone a solicitor.

I think we are aware that its too late to take the case to tribunal now, but to write a well constructive letter to sir Terry bringing this mistake to his attention..might ensure that this sort of thing doen't happen again! 1.4 billion profit for first half year ! evry little helps!
