how low can you go?

Okay, if it comes back high, what measures do I take to lower it? I pride myself in not using salt in cooking unless it's for pasta or potatoes which I very rarely eat. I try and walk every day and vary my diet, concentrating on low carbs. However, I've heard you can have very high cholesterol even if you're not overweight or have diabetes?
