Hi all,
I understand the DVLA can ask for your machine so they can check on your readings. Don't have a problem with this but can anyone tell me how you can clear your machine out as it only holds so many?

I don't think the DVLA will check your meter, they would refer you to a gp or consultant and they would be expected to check. Meters keep a rolling number of readings so once full the first one goes as the new one is entered. The only time they are cleared is maybe when you have to change batteries. I really don't know how it is supposed to work as I use 2 meters, one while driving and one at home. However I use the home one before I go driving and then use the other one whilst driving, so don't have a complete record on one meter. It's a stupid requirement because if you suspect you are low then it's easy enough to taint your finger before taking a reading (illegal but a temptation if you have to drive.)

There's a sticky at the top of the forum with a link to the rules. A lot depends on the type of licence you hold.
