How long for GAD result?

Hello,
It’s been 10 weeks since I gave a blood sample for a GAD test but nothing back yet. I’ve queried this with my diabetes team but they said to keep checking back with them every few weeks.
Does it normally take this long?

That is a long time - usually 4-6 weeks and sometimes less but not a lot you can do I'm afraid other than keep checking back with them
 
It was 8 weeks for mine to come back, so hopefully you should have a result soon.
 
Hi,

Mine took 10 weeks roughly. But also mine was negative so I wasn’t actually told it had come back and just got told it was negative at a meeting with my consultant which I had coming up anyway. Just double check because if it’s negative they might not contact you !
