How do you rate your pharmacy?

Evening every one

I thought it would be a good idea to see how happy you are with your chemist that you use the most. 🙂

The reason I ask is that today I picked up my prescription, went straight to the chemist which is right next to my surgery, and I was told 10-15 Min's.

So I said I will come back in 20 Min's, I did some shopping and I was back just under 20 Min's.

Got there and oh my ! A huge cue of folks!!! no one new who was waiting for prescriptions or who was waiting just to get served next.

I then waited for another 15 Min's then finally got my drugs!!! :0)

So if I had waited I would have been there for 40 Min's apx, lets face it if you are told apx 10 Min's then stood there for 40 Min's your gunna feel a bit peed orf!!

When we had that really hot spell, I was stood there in my motorbike gear hot as hell waiting for my drugs...and stood up as there are only 6 seats and of coarse you leave those to the folks who need them, and after 20 Min's i said is my prescription ready? she said no.....then another 20 Min's went and then a lady who worked there said have you been served i said still waiting, she took my name and guess what?......it was done and just pushed into a corner from the women i first spoke to! arahhhh!!! the pharmacist looked at me and shook his head!!!

The funny thing is another person who worked there said do i mind filling in a questionnaire to see how i score my chemist 😱

I've had a few run-ins with my pharmacy. It went through a period where they were clearly looking for a new pharmacist so they had a succession of temporary ones who clearly did not know what they were doing. Then they got someone permanent but she struggled for some time because of the chaos that had been left for her to deal with. But, I'm happy to say, she managed to get a good system going and now it generally works well, although there are still minor gripes. I went in yesterday to pick up my drugs, was told 15 mins, then 3 people who came in AFTER me were sorted before me! I bit my lip, and was still served within 15 mins, so not so bad. The pharmacist knows me by name now, I'm obviously worth a lot to them! 🙂

When my surgery was handing our feedback forms a while back, I stood at the main desk and circled zero on all the scores 🙂 I suspect they got the idea 😉

Actually, it's generally a very good surgery they just need to sort their booking system...

I don't think any of the chemists near me would that silly to give that type of service - there are just too many chemists within a short distance that you can just go somewhere different.

Mine is conveniently plonked next door to my surgery, which is good cos it's a good 20 minute hobble to the town centre and the next nearest. On the whole they are excellent and I've had very few problems there. Once they gave me the wrong strips and I failed to notice until I tried to use one! Also, a couple of times they've been short an item or two, so now I always check items are correct before I leave and ensure I order at least a week before I'll be likely to run out of anything, usually as soon as I start the second last vial of insulin. I try to order everything at once so I don't have to keep going back, thank heavens for my 43 litre backpack!

I have just changed to a different chemist, they all know me already, regular customer 😱

Some times I don't know a prescription has been done (as a result of tests) and they deliver them. 🙂

The girls there are a good bunch, they can even cheer one up, if only I was a lot younger and they were single.

Can just pop in or phone up and they put my repeats in and get them quicker than I can get them, again if I am in no hurry to pick them up, they are delivered.

Well mine is physically within the surgery although it is a franchise.

I know the pharmacist and his brother (who is an ophthalmologist at the Univ Hospital I attend, and sometimes gives talks to the local DUK group) and all the shop employees, and they all know me.

Very helpful, all of them.

And when they go to look they'll automatically ask 'anything in the fridge this time?' LOL

We are pleased with our pharmacy as they are next to the GP and always helpful. To put things into perspective - if you were in India not only would you not have a pharmacy - you most likely wouldnt have insulin if you were short of cash so count your blessings I say!🙂Bev

I go to a coop pharmacy and find that they are good most of the time. A few times I have been waiting over 20 mins! But the worst was when I went in when they had just opened, I was the first customer and still had to wait 40 mins!!! and they never have my keytone strips

Actually the pharmacist was really helpful when I wanted new lancets and the doctor gave me the wrong prescription (I moved house, and doctor, last year and so it was the first time they'd done it for me - not that that's an excuse). He even wrote the doctor a little note. It took three goes but we got there in the end!

(Can I just say to the previous poster that I love your username btw? 🙂)

I always use a small local lloyds chemist - they know us by name -never any problems -if anything not there they will get it the next day etc .The guy knows his stuff and always happy to help on the phone if I ring about over the counter stuff for H- cant fault them TBH.

The pharmacy next to the GP surgery is known for it's rudeness to customers.
I requested the return of my prescription and went elsewhere after yet another bout of rudeness.
Elsewhere the service is good the prescriptions are normally on time the staff are pleasant and helpful.

The pharmacist even offered me a private room to sort my pump out as it decided to shout rather loudly about needing a new battery thus it had to be primed afterwards and my cannulas was in an unreachable place to disconnect.

The very busy Boots in the centre of town is efficient and convenient for me. All I have to do is turn up to pick up my repeats every month, they do everything else. When the surgery messes up, they do all the chasing for me. The staff are lovely. Gold stars all round.

The girls at the pharmacy I use are so friendly and nice, the dispenser guy is a bit of stickler for detail and narky and they has been times ive had a run in woth him but all in all Im happy with mine

Pharmacists know when they are onto a good thing! We are worth a lot of money to them so good customer service is essential. I have always used independent pharmacies, my current one is great, the one before that really not so, needless to say I didn't hang around!
