Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
there much talk about the extreme sysmptoms but what about just generally day to day ?
I've been diagnosed Type 2 for around a year now. Some days I'm fine - bright as a button take on the world etc but others I get thick heads, can't wake up, can't concentrate and this can last for days at a time. I'm obviously aware of the more extreme symptoms of diabetes but does anyone else ever feel like this ? My levels are around 8 in the morning and 13 a - couple of hours after (sensible) meals.
Thanks for any comments.

I've had type 2 for a year. I'm generally around 7.5 when I wake up and anything between 5 and 7.5 4 hours after a meal. The only major problem I have is a really strong feeling of nausea quite often if my sugar's high. If I eat plenty of starchy carbs and veg and exercise I'm fine, If I eat badly and don't exercise I suffer.

Also, I've never picked up as many colds, stomach bugs etc as I have in the past year, or found them so hard to shake off!

I have a days when I feel absolutely fine but I have a tendency to get tired very easily - this has led to some extremely bad bouts of fatigue and related problems during the past two-three years. The result being that I had to reduce my hours at work which was extremely frustrating as I love my job. However I know that I am fortunate that despite 38 years of diabetes I do not have any of the "serious" complications🙂
