How do you or what have you been advised to do about disposing this.

I'm not sure what the official advice is, but based on the recycling system in my area...

The clear cap looks recyclable so I put that out for kerbside collection.

I prise the sprung section out of the housing with pliers and remove the needle in the base which goes into sharps.

All the other plastic bits seem to be the 'hard plastic' that isn't collected here so those go to landfill.

I keep the little shiny spring 'in case it comes in handy'. (I have quite a few now!) :D

Thank you I wont trust my self to out unharmed with trying to extricate with pliers. The leaflet just says local regulations, the needle seems to not be exposed.

I'm afraid I just chuck it all in the bin :(

Seems reasonable! The sharp is well contained within the housing.

I put the clear cap and the box in the recycling, , the rest in the rubbish.

I put the clear cap in the recycling and the box and leaflet into paper recycling (after pulling off the sticky tab).

That said, I expect the cap gets bounced into landfill because the machinery probably sees it as a bottle cap.

Sorry off topic. I just wish that more of my diabetic waste was recyclable ,sadly most of it isn’t.
