I know it has been unseasonably warm but I was out today and felt uncomfortably hot and clammy. Because I was out I couldn't test but did as soon as I came home and it was 5.7 so that obviously wasn't the problem. Anyone else been hot?

Hi well I supose it could depend on what you were doing. It is mild isn't it, but when I went to my dad's today, I had a cardigan over my Tshirt and I had to take the cardi off because I felt a bit hot. Are you at that certain age 45 to 50? because the menopause is like having your own little heatwave at times :( I hope you have cooled down a bit now and you can get a good nights sleep. Sheena

Blimey! I can assure you you wouldn't have been hot here, esp during the periods of torrential rain ......

I also got very hot on a trip over to the shops - very mild here, I've been in tshirt and shorts all day practically, more like April than November 🙂

Often, humidity, air pressure, sunshine / cloud cover / wind / breeze, plus having to wear formal clothes especially tight collars and / or ties, or long trousers and long sleeves (think of Guards) etc are more important in how you perceive weather / atmospheric conditions than pure temperature. A bit like wind chill factor (combination of temperature and wind speed), but more of a comfort index. Could be any of those factors, and, depending on age and sex, menopause is also a possibility.

As you T2 if you are diet controlled or medication such as metformin then you could well have dipped under 4mmol/l to give you hypo symptoms then your body sorted the body out returning you back to normal BG's...
