Hoping that Sainsbury's or Morrison's follow suit!
Come to think of it I think last year we bought a hot cross loaf and the slices were about 15g carbs. They fit in the toaster too! Addictive though.

I've never actually been a regular eater of them and haven't had one in years so might have to get some of these to try out I have to stop being worried about eating like a normal person would so missing out on 1 yorkshire tomorrow to add a dark chocolate tea cake in, time to start living again 🙂 and @Robin our closest Tesco is 9 miles away but my grandad goes through every day luckily x

I've had a look on google and the only other place I can find that has mini one's at the moment is Waitrose sorry guys :( x

I love hot cross buns and will have a look in Waitrose when we next go shopping, though not to buy any yet. I do not approve of them being on sale all year! Traditionally they should be eaten during Lent and on Good Friday. Good gracious, next thing you know shops will be selling mince pies in October...! (yes, I know they do!)

Marks and Spencers are the best - and they do mini ones

1 six pack of standard size
1 nine pack of the mini size

Oh good, that's my nearest supermarket ( apart from the local co-op) That prob where I bought them last year.

They are good, and they do hot cross loaf as well, which is rather nice. I'm a fan of their Apple hotcross bun particularly because I'm not keen on raisins but I quite like a sultana.

I love hot cross buns but this year i am going to give them a miss as i am trying to be good which is not easy for me as i have a very sweet tooth.

Me either.

I make my own. My Gran did, too. And I glaze then with sugar syrup. You can't avoid the little sugar grenades of dried fruit, so why not stick with tradition.

I thought about experimenting with coconut flour using baking powder for the rise instead of the traditional yeast, but you would end up with a cakey texture rather than the traditional buttery bread mouth feel. Call me a perfectionist, if you like. I prefer type 1🙂
