Has anyone else discovered Tesco Light Choices instant hot chocolate? A serving of 11g (and DO weigh it - a little goes a long way) is just 38 cals. Carb count is 6g. I add a dash of milk, about as much as I'd put in a cuppa tea. Makes a sweet craving go away.

Hi Lee,
have a look at the options range as well, loads of dif flavours to choose from. 🙂

Making my cocoa tonight, I mixed my 11g of Light Choices powder with a tiny bit of milk because adding the boiling water to the dry powder makes it go a bit lumpy. It worked, lovely smooth hot chocolate.

Had a lightbulb moment when stirring the paste... it looked just like chocolate spread, but with far fewer calories (38 vs 82) than Nutella - which I can't keep in the house because there are spoons in my kitchen and combining the two are downright dangerous. Might try it on toast. If anyone gets in there first, do let me know whether it's tasty!

It won't unless you can get some Hazelnut essence in there. Take it from me. I know these things ......

OTOH you may be able to with the Hazelnut flavoured Options, but there again I think it makes a fab drink, drinking lovely hot liquid Nutella .....

I've discovered Galaxy's Bubbles hot chocolate drink at 40cals, its really nice and they also do an orange one which is lovely.

I usually for Options and like to add a touch of cinnamon to it.

Hot chocolate drinks seem a life saver to me; I miss my choc-fests :( I'm going to try the cinnamon kick with my next cup. 🙂

Drink black coffee, and have a couple of chunks of chocolate after, dont chew, just let them melt in your mouth with the heat of the coffee. Soooooooooooooooooo much better.

I used to love the options range when a few years younger especially the rum and mint ones
Now I find that type of thing a bit too sickly
I think I would try making my own from cocoa powder, sweetener to taste, hot water with either splash or milk or some cream and possible a dash of spirits if any in the house or a sprinkle of cinnamon. I imagine a heaped tsp of cocoa and dash of milk would add up to no more carbs than those in the products suggested in above posts
