My partner got took into hospital late Friday afternoon, grabbed a sausage roll before following ambulance, got home nearly midnight feeling crappy brew and hot crossbun then bed, back to see her 11am next day cereal couple of sandwiches bottle of water and a brew before home near midnight again, only in for 5 hours yesterday as moved her onto a ward, just can't be bothered making anything checked levels this morning and quite high for me, tiredness stress and not eating properly I think, ah well better get ready to go back and see her, yet another sandwich before I go but got a home made mince and mash out the freezer for later must remember to do more readings......

Hi @Big Pete, hope your partner is well looked after whilst in hospital, in the meantime make sure you look after yourself and & eat sensibly take meds etc..
something easy to say but sometimes not always easy to do for everyone
what meds are you usually taking yourself, & how high is a quite high in comparison to what you would normally see on your morning reading ?

Not on any meds, after being 15 years prediabetes finally went over last year, lost about 17kg in 4 months and went just under the level, not another checkup due till sept, normal morning readings 5.4 to 6.4 was at 6.9 today

Sorry to hear about your partner. I hope that they are well looked after in hospital.
You clearly manage your health well. Remember to look after yourself too as best you can at this time. Don’t stress about this disruption to your levels at present, just do the best that you can.
